Water based bi- component epoxy coating for walls and floors

The Product

Hexpoxy WB2 is a bi-¬component cold cure, tough, water based, solvent free epoxy polyamide coating meant for usage on floor and walls of workshops, offices, food and drug processing units, warehouses, bathrooms and kitchens. It provides an impact and abrasion resistant tough coating capable of withstanding mechanical wear and tear, acid and alkali attacks etc. on the substrate coated upon. It comes in a variety of colors with matt finish depending upon the coloring pigment used.

Application Methodology

1. Remove dust, flakes, oil, grease etc. by manual cleaning with wire or coir brush or grinding wheel.
2. Newly laid concrete should be 28 days old for natural curing before coating it with Hexpoxy WB2.
3. While applying ambient should be between 100 and 500 C.
4. Stir drums of each component separately by stirrer to ensure uniformity of each before mixing.
5. Stir component A [Resin] and gradually pour component B [Hardener] into A to reach the ratio 5 : 1 :: Resin : Hardener, under continuous stirring for homogeneous mixing, preferably with a heavy duty stirrer with spiral blade at the bottom of the rod. Stirring speed should be around 500 rpm.
6. For best results, apply two coats of properly mixed Hexpoxy WB2 on prepared and moistened surface at the minimum suggested interval of eight hours by brush or spray. First coat should be allowed to dry tack free before application of the second coat. Prepare material for second coat in the same manner as done for the first. Keep in mind the pot life and use up all mixed materials within time limits specified.
7. Clean equipments immediately after use with plenty of water.

Health & Safety

Use mask, hand gloves and goggles during application. Clean hands with soap water after application. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of unlikely contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water, cleanse with soap in lukewarm water and ask for expert medical advice. Never use solvent to clean the contacted areas. If swallowed inadvertently, immediately seek medical advice.

Packing, Storage & Shelf Life

Available in 20 kg, 5 kg and 1 kg packs of Component A[ resin] & Component B[hardener] in the ratio 5:1. Store in cool and dry place under shed away from heat and direct sunlight. One year from manufacturing date in original unopened sealed condition.
